Remote support for the household, up to three calls a month. Backups that are actually tested, updates applied, wi-fi that reaches the dock, and a check on the place while you are not in it.

Guest wi-fi that holds up on a full house, smart locks that let the right people in, cameras where they are allowed, and a check between turnovers so the next guest does not find it broken.

Tell me what is happening
Call or email. Describe it in your own words — "it is slow", "it makes a noise", "the printer stopped" is enough. I will ask the rest.

Watch me work
You click one link and see your own screen the whole time. Nothing happens off camera. Close the window and the session ends.

Fixed, and explained
You get told what broke, what I did, and what will stop it happening again. In plain words, in writing if you want it.

The price is on the page
You should not have to fill in a form to learn what something costs. Every plan price is published, and one-off work is quoted before I start.

Diagnosis is free
Finding out what is wrong costs nothing. You only pay if you tell me to fix it.

Parts, plus 10%
Parts I source carry a 10% markup for the sourcing and ordering work, shown as its own line on the invoice. Parts you supply yourself cost nothing extra.
IV
You watch everything
Remote sessions run on your screen, with you in front of it. I never need your banking passwords, and I will never call you first claiming your computer has a virus.
V
I will tell you when not to spend
Sometimes the honest answer is that a machine is not worth fixing, or that you do not need a plan. You will hear that from me before you hear a quote.

I started fixing computers in Pretoria in 1990, spent eleven years in Minneapolis on the business side of technology, and ran my own studio for seventeen years before moving to Webster. I am direct — South African, Afrikaans first, plain-spoken by upbringing. I tell you the truth, and I do not waste time when there is a problem to solve.
