Plans & pricing

The prices are on the page.

You should not have to book a call to find out what something costs. The plans below are month to month with no setup fee, and one-off repair work is quoted before I start.

Home & cabin care

$39 / month

Per household. Every device in it, however many people live there.

  • Remote support, up to 3 calls a month
  • Backups set up, then actually tested
  • Updates and security patching
  • Wi-fi coverage and speed kept honest
  • A check on the place while you are away
  • Discounted on-site visits when needed

More than three calls in a month, and I will suggest the in-home audit instead of another remote session.

Work that is not on a plan

One-off jobs are quoted flat before I start. If the quote turns out to be wrong, I call you before doing anything about it.

Remote work is billed in fifteen-minute blocks with a thirty-minute minimum. On-site has a one-hour minimum; the drive is free within twenty miles of Webster and $50 flat out to forty-five. Setup is $175 with your data moved across, $95 without. Outside 8am–5pm Mon–Fri, emergencies are billed at one and a half times.

Parts I source carry a 10% markup for the sourcing and ordering work, shown as its own line on the invoice. Parts you supply yourself cost nothing extra.

Questions

The ones people actually ask

Is there a contract?

No. Every plan is month to month. Tell me to stop and it stops at the end of that month. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee.

Is the audit really free?

Yes — thirty minutes, remote, no charge and no obligation. You get a written list of what I found whether or not you hire me. If nothing needs doing, that is what the list will say.

Do you come to the house?

When it needs it. Roughly nine problems in ten are solved remotely, which is faster for you and cheaper than a call-out. When it genuinely needs hands on the machine, I drive out — on-site visits are $135 an hour and cover Burnett County and the towns either side of it.

My cabin is empty half the year. Do I pay all twelve months?

No. Tell me the months the place is shut and the plan pauses for them. Monitoring stays on for water and power alerts if you want it — say so and I will leave it running.

How do I pay?

Plans are billed monthly, in arrears, by bank transfer or a card kept on file. One-off work can be paid by card, bank transfer, cash or check. You get a plain-English invoice with every line named in words you can check.

Thirty minutes, remote, no charge. I look at what you have, tell you what is actually wrong with it, and put it in writing. If nothing needs doing, I will tell you that too.
